ABOUT

Kim uses thrown and altered forms of various sizes to create a sense of subtle instability. This coupled with an exploration of surface texture, colour and form, initially examined using photographic abstract expression to capture a moment of colour and light, is then translated into ceramic by applying a series of alternative processes not typically linked to the medium. This ultimately allows a more creative, playful expression of that moment into form with considered application of glazes.

The ideal is to create something unique and individual with a fluidity between the capture, post process and finished 3-dimensional work.
